About Troy Lodge #56

Troy Lodge #56 is located on the corner of Montgomery and Peacock Street in Troy, Alabama. Meetings are held monthly on the first and third Mondays at 7:00 P.M. Lodge dues are $75 per year.

The Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons is the oldest and largest and most widely known fraternal organization in the world. We have over 6.5 million members worldwide with over 4.5 million members in the United States. In Alabama we have nearly 60,000 members in almost 400 lodges.

Freemasonry came to America with the early settlers. George Washington served as our first President and during this time, served as Master of his Lodge. Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were active Masons. As you can see, Masons played a very important role in establishing and instituting many of the freedoms we still enjoy today.
